No. 2 Oklahoma State at Texas Tech The Cowboys look to improve to 10-0 for the first time in school history. They are averaging 50.1 points per game and Brandon Weeden is fourth in the nation with 3,212 yards passing. Texas Tech has allowed at least 34 points in each of its last seven games.

No. 4 Alabama at Mississippi State

The Tide’s Trent Richardson leads the SEC with 1,078 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. The Bulldogs haven’t defeated a ranked opponent since 2000 and are allowing 161.2 rushing yards per game.

No. 5 Boise State vs. TCU Only Stanford (17) has a longer current winning streak than Boise State’s 10. This is the fourth meeting between the programs - the previous three were bowl games. The Broncos lead the series, 2-1.

No. 12 Penn State vs. No. 19 Nebraska Penn State has the nation’s eighth-ranked defense, allowing 282.3 yards per contest. Nebraska has won five straight when Rex Burkhead has rushed for more than 100 yards.

No. 13 Michigan State at Iowa Iowa has won nine of the last 13 meetings and seven straight in Iowa City. The Spartans are second in the Big Ten with 13 interceptions, recording at least one in eight games this season.

No. 14 Georgia vs. No. 24 Auburn Isaiah Crowell is expected to start following his one-game suspension. His 689 rushing yards rank sixth in the SEC. A win would give the Bulldogs the East Division title and a spot in the SEC title game. Auburn is allowing 185.7 rushing yards per game.

No. 15 South Carolina vs. Florida Gamecocks quarterback Connor Shaw is likely to play after suffering a concussion in last week’s loss. A win would give South Carolina six wins in SEC play for the first time since joining the league 19 years ago.

No. 16 Wisconsin at Minnesota The Badgers’ Russell Wilson boasts the nation’s top passer rating at 196.7, while Montee Ball leads the FBS with 21 rushing touchdowns. Wisconsin is the only team in the nation to rank in the top 10 in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

No. 17 Kansas State vs. Texas A&M

The Aggies will be without leading rusher Christine Michael, who suffered a torn ACL last week. Kansas State has two of the Big 12’s top six rushers in quarterback Collin Klein and running back John Hubert.

No. 18 Southern Cal vs. Washington Washington is surrendering 283.1 passing yards per game, worst in the Pac-12. USC receiver Robert Woods is second in the FBS with 90 catches.

No. 21 Texas at Missouri Missouri is expected to have Henry Josey, the Big 12’s leading rusher, after the sophomore left last week’s game with an injured shoulder. Texas has rushed for 400-plus yards in back-to-back games for the first time sine 1977.

No. 22 Michigan at Illinois

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson leads the Big Ten in total yards per game (294.1), while Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase is fourth with 243.1.

No. 23 Cincinnati vs. West Virginia The top scoring teams in the Big East - Cincinnati averages 39.1 points per game, West Virginia 38.2 - combined for just 47 in last season’s matchup.

No. 25 Southern Miss vs. Central Florida

Southern Miss, ranked for the first time in seven years, has won its last seven games by an average margin of 23.7 points. The Golden Eagles are averaging 37.6 points per contest, 17th in the nation, and allowing just 19.6, which is 19th best.
