“Robin wanted to get a feel for the neighborhood, so we brought him to the L Street Tavern,” said Harrington.

"Robin was clean at the time, he wasn't drinking while the rest of us, Matt and Ben and me and Gus got drunk. And Ben had his hat on backwards, and one of the old Southie guys says, 'Turn your ****ing hat around.' And Ben said he didn’t appreciate that."

The confrontation escalated into a stare down, said Harrington. "We almost got into a fight right then and there," he said. "Finally, I was like, ‘Ben, just turn your ****ing hat around.’ ”
