On Thanksgiving Day, the quiet streets of Boston provided sporadic sightings of people marking the all-American holiday in less-than-predictable fashion. Fitness buffs flocked to the Boston Common. Boston firefighters had their turkey delivered by the staff of the InterContinental Hotel. And Mayor Thomas M. Menino, at a homeless shelter Thanksgiving feast, briefly broke into song.
