The German Embassy selected Boston College to be the only Boston-area university to participate in “Freedom Without Walls,’’ a collegiate commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. One of the campus events celebrating the end of the Cold War is tonight’s lecture by Winston Churchill’s granddaughter Edwina Sandys. The artist will talk about “Breakthrough,’’ her sculpture made from eight panels of the Berlin Wall placed at the site of her grandfather’s “Iron Curtain’’ speech at Westminster College in Missouri. Sandys will participate in a Q&A. 4:30 p.m. Free. Boston College’s Devlin Hall, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill. 617-552-4295. www.bc.edu![]()
