Members of the League of Women Voters of Brookline will return to local college campuses this fall in an effort to encourage students to vote in the November election. The group’s Brookline Votes 2012 Campaign will focus on registering people ages 18 to 24, and providing nonpartisan information on the election and the voting process. According to the US Census Bureau, current members of the age group are half as likely to vote as their parents or grandparents. The local league chapter is working with Pine Manor and Newbury colleges on the campaign. More information is available online at www.vote2012info.com, and www.facebook.com/brooklinevotes.
