Theo Epstein
He was the youngest general manager in Major League Baseball history when he was hired by the Red Sox in 2002. He oversaw the team as it won two World Series championships.
Epstein resigned in 2011 and became president of baseball operations for the Chicago Cubs.
He grew up and lived in Brookline. Epstein still visits from time to time to host charity events.
His grandfather and great-uncle, Philip and Julius Epstein, wrote the screenplay for "Casablanca."
