The Planning Board last Thursday granted a special permit to Yeh! Yogourt Glace and Café to operate a self-service shop at 82 Burlington Mall Road. The applicant would serve as the franchisee of the Canadian chain, and the Burlington shop would be its first in the United States. At its meeting next Thursday, the board will continue a hearing into a site plan submitted by the Recreation Commission for a multipurpose field on a 5-acre portion of the Mary P.C. Cummings Estate. The proposed site plan also calls for picnic tables, landscaping, and a perimeter path. The board will also continue a hearing into a special permit application by Kings Bowl of Burlington to locate a Kings restaurant and bowling alley at 15 Third Ave., at the corner of the Middlesex Turnpike. Also continued will be hearings into applications by Great Group LLC to open a fast food restaurant at 276 Cambridge St.; and by Seven Springs Residential LLC for a minor engineering change to the site plan for the Arbor Point complex it is developing at 14 Wheeler Road. The board will resume a hearing into an application for a waiver to the site plan for 105-107 Terrace Hall Avenue. The application is from a child care facility, Tender Learning Center, which seeks to move to the Terrace Hall Avenue building. - John Laidler
