Famous folks from Burlington

Caitlin and Peter Carruthers The brother and sister team are originally from Burlington. Their father built them a tiny rink in their backyard to practice on when they were growing up. The siblings won the 1982 World Championship bronze medal for pairs figure skating. Two years later, they took home the silver medal in pairs figure skating from the 1984 Winter Olympics, which was held in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.
