Eastern Mass. Red Cross hires Barrios as chief
The American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts has named former state legislator Jarrett Barrios as its regional chief executive officer. Jarrett Barrios will officially begin his position on Nov. 29, the American Red Cross said in a statement. In addition serving in the Massachusetts House and Senate, Barrios previously served as president of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation and as the chief executive officer of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance against Defamation.
