CNN host and Time Magazine editor-at-large Fareed Zakaria has been tapped to deliver the commencement address at Harvard. The host of the foreign affairs program “Fareed Zakaria GPS’’ received his PhD from Harvard. . . . The New Yorker’s classical music critic Alex Ross will talk 20th-century music at Trinity Church April 17. . . . The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater has named Jeffry George as its new executive director. George, who oversaw the planning and construction of the theater’s new, 200-seat Julie Harris Stage, is currently executive director of Cantata Singers in Boston. . . . Human-rights activist John Prendergast is UMass-Lowell’s 2012 Greeley Scholar for Peace Studies. Prendergast, who works with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle, among others, spoke to students during the school’s annual Day Without Violence.
