Famous folks from Cambridge

Sam Waterston Waterston's parents were teachers as well as amateur actors in Cambridge, where he was born. He graduated from Yale University, where he majored in drama and attended the Sorbonne in Paris. Waterston is known mostly for his role in 'Law & Order.'' As for the show's endless reruns on multiple channels, Waterston is sanguine. 'I've helped a lot of people with insomnia,' he says. 'I'm not watching at 2 o'clock in the morning but I'm glad someone is.'
