Puttering around in Porter Square

A FOCUS ON AREA SQUARES
The Art Institute of Boston was being brought to Porter Square by Lesley University. The city had to approve a zoning change.
The school owns the former North Prospect Church, right, on Massachusetts Avenue in Porter Square. The church will be lowered and moved over to make room for the art school.
Renamed Prospect Hall by the school, there are plans for it to house the Art Institute of Boston.
Two parking lots across the street (foreground) will be developed by the school.
