National park hosts lectures

The Friends of the Minute Man National Historical Park present a Sunday lecture series starting March 4 and continuing throughout the month. All lectures begin at 3 p.m., are free, and are open to the public at the park’s Visitor Center on Route 2A in Lincoln. There is free parking. Call 978-318-7822 for more information. The first lecture will be by Hilary Anderson Stelling, who will talk on “Sowing the Seeds of Liberty: Lexington and the American Revolution.’’ On March 11, Emily Murphy and Alicia Paresi offer “Town and Country: an Exploration of Archaeological Collections at Salem and Concord.’’ On Sunday, March 18, George Quintal presents, “Patriots of Color at Battle Road and Bunker Hill.’’ For the last presentation on March 25, David Wood, curator at the Concord Museum, lectures on “The Greatest Events of the Present Era: Collecting History at the Concord Museum.’’ Light refreshments will be served.
