CHANGES ALONG HISTORIC ROUTE 9

The MetroWest Regional Collaborative and MAPC are working with Framingham, Natick, Southborough, and Wellesley on a Route 9 MetroWest Smart Growth Plan.
This plan focuses on the potential for compact, mixed-use (housing, office, and commercial) developments along Roue 9 that are more pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly, and less auto-oriented. Conceptual design possibilites for several smart growth opportunity areas, like the one above at Shoppers World in Framingham, will be presented for public comment and discussion. Jeanette Lin/MAPC
