Civil War relics on display in Framingham

This weekend’s encampment will start at 4 p.m. on Friday and run until 2 p.m. Sunday. The event will feature prominent historical figure reenactors, local food vendors, a musical hoe-down, and admission to Framingham’s historical exhibits around the common. A letter from Julia Ward Howe, who wrote “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” confirming to Esty that the famous hymn was first sung in Framingham.
