Since the year 2000, the United States has seen an exponential growth in Latino immigrants coming and settling down. Between 2000 and 2010, the Latino population in Massachusetts grew by as much as 46 percent.

An increase of people in the Latino population has also begun to change the political landscape of some towns. City councils are now voicing more Latino concerns. Next
Several towns have also begun to create events to help bring the Latino population together. Marlborough has started offering “English and Exercise” classes. The community also held Portuguese festival for the Brazilian community.
