Record day for Dedham’s Vettori

Dedham senior Patrice Vettori became the Marauders’ all-time leading scorer when she delivered a header into the back of the net off a corner kick from sophomore Jenna Savi, and Dedham went on to beat Natick, 3-2, yesterday in a Bay State Conference girls’ soccer game.

Vettori tied the old mark for points (114) when she assisted on Savi’s goal in the 19th minute. Vettori’s first goal broke the record. She later scored on a breakaway to push her total to 116. Vettori got all her points in the first half to help Dedham improve to 13-2-1 overall.

Brockton 1, Notre Dame (Hingham) 0 - Sophomore Morgan Branco netted her 25th goal of the season.

Concord-Carlisle 5, Tyngsboro 3 - Andrea O’Brien scored a hat trick for Concord-Carlisle.

Scituate 1, Hingham 0 - Senior Emily Fougere scored Scituate’s lone goal to help the Sailors improve to 12-5.

Lincoln-Sudbury 2, Waltham 0 - Sophomore Madison Acton had a goal and an assist.

Boys’ soccer
Brookline 5, Newton North 0 - Jacob Ebbs netted his third winning goal in his last six games for Brookline. Goalkeeper Matt Daugherty collected his seventh straight shutout.

Framingham 3, Braintree 0 - Senior forward and captain Gus Santos notched a hat trick, tallying his 18th, 19th, and 20th goals of the season for Framingham.

Archbishop Williams 3, Hull 1 - Senior forward Mike McDonald scored two goals to lead the Bishops.

Lowell Catholic 5, Greater Lowell 1 - Sophomore forward David Haley scored all of the Fighting Crusaders’ goals.

Field hockey
Hanover 3, Silver Lake 1 - Senior Kelly DuVal finished with one goal and an assist to help Hanover improve to 9-2-3.

Hingham 4, Pembroke 2 - Sophomore Molly Clark had two goals and an assist for Hingham.

Volleyball
Melrose 3, Winchester 0 - Hannah Brickley’s 14 kills helped Melrose clinch the Middlesex League title.

Quincy 3, Rockland 1 - Unbeaten Quincy (15-0) won the Patriot League title, finishing with 58 digs and five blocks as a team in beating Rockland.

Bishop Feehan 3, Attleboro 0 - Senior Rossi Fish had 11 kills for Bishop Feehan (11-4).
