Dedham nips Milton

Thanks to Lydia Caissy’s goal with 30 seconds left, Dedham (14-2-1, 12-2-1) clinched its sixth Bay State Herget crown yesterday with a 2-1 victory at Milton.

As regulation time ticked down, forward Patrice Vettori crossed to Caissy, who moved the ball to the right and knocked it into the middle of the net for the winner.

“We were the favorites coming in [to the season], but we played really well,’’ said Marauders coach Don Savi.

The Wildcats took the lead in the first half on a goal by midfielder Erin Feeney, who later came out of the game because of an injury.

Three minutes into the second half, sophomore forward Jenna Savi scored the tying goal on a penalty shot to give the Herget’s leading scorer 17 goals this season.

Brockton 5, Mashpee 0 - Sophomore Morgan Branco had her sixth hat trick while freshman Felicia Mulholland added three assists.

Duxbury 3, Hingham 1 - Junior Jenn Moore scored the first two goals for the Green Dragons and Emily Gallagher scored the last goal.

Boys’ soccer
Shawsheen 5, Blue Hills 2 - Senior forward Mike Terk knocked in two goals and added two assists for the Rams.

New Bedford 4, Durfee 0 - Senior midfielder Victor Ferriera anchored the Whalers with two goals and an assist. New Bedford clinched the Big Three with the shutout.

Hingham 1, Duxbury 0 - Sophomore Ryan Blanchard’s goal clinched Hingham’s seventh division title in the Patriot League in the last 11 years.

Field hockey
Weston 4, Arlington 0 - Senior Claire Riedel scored twice in the Wildcats’ victory.

Manchester Essex 6, Rockport 1 - Coach Pam Grant tallied her 100th win in only her seventh year.

Girls’ swimming
Andover 105, Chelmsford 79 - The Golden Warriors (12-0) came out on top in the meet to determine the Merrimack Valley Conference champions.

Volleyball
North Quincy 3, Arlington Catholic 0 - The Red Raiders were led by freshman middle hitter Rose Bennett, who had 10 kills.

Boys’ golf
Pingree 6, Concord Academy 0 - Junior Jack Whelan was medalist, shooting 2-under-par 34.
