G.H. Bent Company Factory

The 10,000-square-foot factory produced hardtack, a dense flour and water biscuit that needed no refrigeration. It was widely eaten on sea voyages and during the Civil War. The factory was listed on The National Register of Historic Places on Feb. 10, 2000.
