Fairway Bowling closes, candlepins fall

Early on in the 1950s, women were regular daytime bowlers, and men were avid after-work bowlers, wearing colorful shirts bearing their company or civic organization logo. When women went to work in the 1970s and 1980s the bowling scene changed.
