As the saying goes, everyone is Irish on St. Patricks Day and Blue on Highland, located in Needham, MA, is no exception. On Friday, March 16th, 2012 and Saturday, March 17th, 2012, Blue will go green with a special Saint Patricks Day menu celebrating the luck of the Irish. Guests are invited to indulge in Irish beef stew ($14), fish & chips with malt vinegar ($16) and grilled rib eye steak with Jameson whiskey butter and colcannon ($28). Diners can top off their festive fare with Blues mint chocolate cupcakes ($8) for dessert.
Named for its location on Highland Avenue in Needham Heights, Blue offers a mix of American, Italian, and French cuisine. Owners Rod and Catherine Walkey aim for a city ambiance similar to the Mount Blue restaurant in Norwell, famously linked with Aerosmith.
