The following was submitted by the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School:

Six members of the Mystic Valley Varsity Cross Country teams were selected as CAC All-Stars for the 2013 season. These students will be honored at a league banquet on Monday, November 25th at Lynn Tech. The selections were based on the top 12 finishers in the divisional races at the CAC Championship Meet: Vanessa LoChirco (junior, 2nd place - Upper Division & Overall); Karina Hanson (sophomore, 12th place - Upper Division); Patrick McPherson (junior, did not participate due to injury but was selected by the CAC head coaches); Jonathan Powers (senior, 3rd place - Lower Division); Charif Elmoussaoui (junior, 9th place - Lower Division) and Sean Flanagan (sophomore, 10th place - Lower Division).

“These six runners exemplify everything we look for in a student athlete at Mystic Valley. They compete with passion and integrity in each and every race. They work hard at practice and I'm very glad that their efforts have been recognized in a tangible way. Although Patrick McPherson could not race due to injury, the CAC head coaches made the right decision to include him on this list as his leadership and talent were an essential part of our team this season” said coach Jon Bush.
