The following was submitted by the Glen Urquhart School:

Glen Urquhart School raises over $8,500 for Beverly Bootstraps with its annual snowflake campaign. A check will be presented to Beverly Bootstrap’s Executive Director, Sue Gabriel, on Friday, December 20 at the school’s special Solstice Celebration.

The snowflake campaign, sponsored by the Parents Association and organized by the first grade, is a long-standing tradition at GUS. The tradition suggests that in lieu of holiday gifts for faculty and staff, students consider purchasing “snowflakes” to show their appreciation. Each snowflake costs two dollars and all of the proceeds collected are included in the
donation to Beverly Bootstraps All donations directly benefit North Shore residents and their families.

Glen Urquhart has raised over $20,000 for Beverly Bootstraps with this campaign over the past several years. The school also supports their Food Pantry and their Adopt a Family Program. “We are proud to support Beverly Bootstraps throughout the year and the entire GUS community is honored to make a difference in the lives of others in need, especially
during the Holiday season”, said Head of School, Dave Provost.
