The following was submitted by the City of Malden:

On Saturday, December 14, Junior Aid Association of Malden presented a $1,200 check to Bug's Bikes at the Dockside Restaurant. Bug's Bikes is a charitable foundation that raises money for the purchase of adaptive bicycles for children with disabilities. Bug is a five year old boy who is impaired with high functioning Autism and medical complexities. After finishing his second day of Adaptive Bike Camp he realized he was the only child taking his bike home each day and that made him very sad. He decided that all the children should be able to bring their bikes home. Though Bug is too young to understand that the cost for all children to have their own bike is out of reach for most middle-class families, his parents decided to create Bug's Bikes so they could bring happiness to other children by raising money for adaptive bicycles.

Please visit Bug's Bikes on Facebook page for to donate to this great cause!
