(Boston Police Department)
Boston Police say they are searching for a man who broke into a Brighton family’s home and robbed one of the residents at gunpoint before punching the resident in the face and running away.
When officers arrived at the residence in the 300 block of Market Street just after 4:30 a.m. Monday, the resident’s son acted as a translator because the resident does not speak English, according to police.
The resident said he was awoken by the alleged robber, who pointed a gun at him and, speaking in Vietnamese, demanded money, police said.
The robber then searched the residence until he found a wallet, according to the resident, who told police he did not know what the robber took from the wallet, police said.
The robber then punched the man’s face and ran away, police said.
The resident described the robber as an Asian male with a “slim build and slim face,” wearing a black knit hat, a blue jacket and blue jeans, according to police.
