The café and eatery Thinking Cup announced that it will open a new location at 85 Newbury St. in the Back Bay.

This will be the third location of the café, with the original established across the Boston Common on Tremont Street, and the second location on Hanover Street in the North End.

“We had a huge demand from our customers,” said co-owner Hugh Geiger. “People were asking us to come to Back Bay. We worked it out with Jamestown [Properties] and it was the right time to do it.”

Known for its Portland, Ore. brew, called Stumptown Coffee, the café also sells pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast. The coffee shop has the unique feature of putting old Boston Post and Herald newspapers under glass table tops.

The café will be an addition to Jamestown Properties’ Newbury Collection, and is scheduled to open by early 2014, said Geiger.
