The Allston-based Food Truck Festivals of New England will host a homecoming of sorts this weekend.

The company’s Charles River Food Truck Festival will be held at Herter Park and Artesani Playground along Soldiers Field Road in the Allston-Brighton area of Boston on Saturday July 28 at 11 a.m., according to a press release.

The festival will include a variety of food, music and children’s activities, organizers said. Participating trucks are expected to serve sample portions as well as full meals.

Menus are expected to include lobster rolls, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, hot dogs, barbeque ribs, and desserts, according to the food truck festival company.

Attendees are invited to purchase "taste tickets," which are used like currency at the trucks, officials said.

Tickets can be bought in advance and at the event. Ten taste tickets cost $13. Twenty tickets cost $25. Thirty cost $37. Forty cost $48. There is no additional admission fee.
