Mosaic Church will host a Christmas Eve service in Allston accompanied by refreshments and live Christmas music from local musicians.

All are welcome to the service that will be held inside the International Community Church at 30 Gordon St. on Dec. 24, at 7 p.m., organizers said.

“With everyone always on the run, not much time is spent with a local community celebrating the holiday season,” the church said in a statement. “Responding in unison to a Christmas canticle used to be a tradition both children and adults looked forward to in hopes of summoning the Christmas spirit. As Buddy the Elf once said, ‘The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.’”
