A popular Thai restaurant that closed its Cleveland Circle location earlier this year is readying to open a new location near Brighton Center.

Bangkok Bistro recently hung signage indicating it will open at a vacant building at 433 Washington St. that used to house a pizza shop.

The bistro shut down its former location at 1952 Beacon St. around the start of the year. The restaurant’s relocation plan was previously reported by the Boston Restaurant Talk blog.

The restaurant’s new location on Washington Street used to house Naked Pizza, a nationally expanding New Orleans-based pizza restaurant chain backed by the owners of the New England Patriots and the Dallas Mavericks, which after about a year of business closed its Brighton franchise in early 2012 to merge that location with a nearby shop in Brookline.

Before the pizza shop opened, the property near Brighton Center had last been occupied by an Exxon gas station.
