10th annual Allston-Brighton Walk for Recovery set for Saturday, Sept. 21

The 10th annual Allston-Brighton Walk for Recovery will be held Saturday, Sept. 21.

The rain-or-shine, all-ages 5K walk is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. at Artesani Park along Soldiers Field Road in the Brighton. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.

The event will feature speeches, music, and free shirts. Local elected officials are expected to attend.

Organizers suggest attendees donate $5. Pets are welcome.

Sponsors of the walk include the Allston-Brighton Substance Abuse Task Force, Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery, Granada House, Addiction Treatment Center of New England, Gavin Foundation, and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
