Former Peirce School Principal Bob Penta has been appointed as the new principal of Saint Agnes Catholic school beginning in July.

Penta, of North Reading, resigned as principal at the Peirce School at the conclusion of the 2008-2009 school year, ending 15 years in Arlington public schools. He also worked at the Brackett School.

He’s currently principal of the Dorchester Central Campus at Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy.

Saint Agnes pastor Rev. Brian Flatley said Penta’s will begin July 1 as principal of Saint Agnes pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school.

“I’m pleased to welcome Bob Penta to this important position and to extend my support and prayers for his work as the school’s next principal,” Flatley stated in a press release. “He brings to the position extensive experience and expertise as a teacher, principal and now Catholic school leader.”
