The addition to the Village Shops is also one of the first retail buildings to receive a certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, also known as an LEED certification, according to Bierbrier.

To celebrate the grand opening of the additional retail space last Friday, Arlington Redevelopment Board Chairman Chris Loreti joined Bierbrier President Len Bierbrier and Vice Presidnt Casey Piche, as well as Arlington Chamber of Commerce members Maureen Gormley and Robert Bowes at the Arlington Village Shops.
