Arlington’s Board of Selectmen are asking the public for input on the upcoming search to replace retiring Town Manager Brian Sullivan.

The board will hold a public hearing next Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. in Town Hall to gather suggestions on the development of a new job description for the next town manager.

Sullivan announced last month that he will be retiring in February after about 8 years as town manager and 37 years working in municipal government.

A draft job description for the town manager post will be available at the Board of Selectmen’s office in Town Hall this Thursday, Oct. 6, and at www.arlingtonma.gov/jobs.
