State Treasurer Steve Grossman to speak in Arlington

State Treasurer Steve Grossman will serve as the keynote speaker at the Housing Corporation of Arlington’s annual meeting this October.

Grossman Headshot.jpgGrossman will speak at the non-profit group’s breakfast at the Tango restaurant in Arlington Center on Thursday, Oct. 18 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The Housing Corporation of Arlington will also be giving community service awards to Mary Deyst, Claudette Lahaie and Elaine Shea, who together founded First Step, a support group for victims of domestic violence in Arlington.

“HCA is thrilled to celebrate our successes from the past year, salute the work of Mary, Claudette and Elaine and we’re honored that the Massachusetts State Treasurer Steve Grossman will be taking the time to speak to the Arlington public on issues affecting the Commonwealth," said Paul Parravano, president of board for the Housing Corporation of Arlington.

The Housing Corporation of Arlington assists households in danger of becoming homeless and owns 90 affordable housing apartments in Arlington.
