A tree lighting, carolers and Lanie the Jolly Elf will help kick off the holiday season in East Arlington’s First Lights festivities Saturday.

The free event will be held in Capitol Square from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and is being
sponsored by Leader Bank and Cambridge Savings Bank.

The Capitol Square Business Association is hosting the event, that will feature strolling carolers, a puppet show at the Fox Branch Library, balloon reindeer hat making with Lanie the Jolly Elf at Artbeat on Massachusetts Avenue and the lighting of a tree atop the Capitol Theatre’s marquee.

More information is available at the Capitol Square's website.
