Ryan said his department is grateful to have the five officers to fill vacancies that resulted from retirements.

The new officers graduated Friday, July 19, from the Transit Police Academy with the 31st Municipal Police Officers Class. They completing the 27-week program in Quincy, including courses in criminal and constitutional law, community policing concepts, domestic violence, motor vehicle law and the proper use of force.
