Pull on a pair of walking shoes and head over to Warren Woods in Ashland on Sunday Sept. 8 for a guided walk through the land.

The walk will be led by Land Stewardship Committee members Carl Hakannson and Greg Wands, who will impart knowledge about the land's historical value, its native plants and wildlife, and the work undertaken by committee volunteers to restore the land. The tour will highlight the improvements made to the land by the volunteers, including trail and field work, according to a press release.

The walk is co-sponsored by Ashland's Conservation Commission, Historical Commission, Land Stewardship Committee, and Open Space and Recreation Committee.

It will take place between 9 and 11 a.m. There is no rain date.

Warren Woods is at the corner of Chestnut Street and Eliot Street. Participants are asked to park in the lot adjacent to a red shed. Additional parking is available at the Warren Conference Center, and it is requested that participants park as close to the street as possible.
