Back Bay to hold second annual Burrito Bowl Saturday
The Super Bowl may be the big bowl happening Sunday, but the South End and the Back Bay are holding a bowl of their own: The Burrito Bowl.
Featuring some of the South End and Back Bay’s finest culinary experts, the competition will pit chefs head-to-head to see who really can make the best burrito.
Chefs competing this year include: Tremont 647’s Andy Husbands, Poe’s Kitchen Brian Poe, Lolita’s Brian Roche, Olé Restaurant Group’s Erwin Ramos, Boloco’s Jason Hutchinson, Church’s Jon Gilman, Pigalle’s Marc Orfaly, Sweet Cheeks’ Tiffani Faison and the reigning “Burrito Bowl” champion Jose Duarte of Taranta.
Each burrito will be custom designed by chefs to reflect their favorite NFL team and will be judged by attendees and guest referees.
The competition will take place at Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake at 384 Boylston St. The event begins at 1 p.m. Feb 4 and tickets are $15.
