Back Bay establishments garner most "Best of Boston" titles
The Back Bay has more businesses that are the “Best of Boston” than any other neighborhood in Metro Boston, according to Boston Magazine’s annual awards.
A total of 40 of the stylish neighborhood’s establishments were named the “Best in Boston” by Boston Magazine this summer in categories ranging from Best Late Night Restaurant (Uni) and Best Day Spa (G20 Spa & Salon) to Best Eyelash Extensions (Eyestarr) and Best Place to Watch People Watching People (Sonsie).
The lifestyle magazine’s team of judges spent the last 12 months eating, drinking, and shopping around the Greater Boston Area to find some of the region’s best restaurants, shops, and services and came up with 291 winners.
Cambridge came closest to reaching the Back Bay’s “Best of Boston” glory with 34 establishments making the list. The South End followed with 20 of its establishments getting nods, and businesses in Downtown Boston received 16 “Best of Boston” titles.
Brookline and the Fenway each claimed 12 titles. Beacon Hill came in with seven awards.
