Bostonís annual MIXFest concert is set to return to the Charles River Esplanade next month with performances by the Grammy-winning band Train, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, and Andy Grammer.
The free concert, presented by radio station MIX 104.1, will kick off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Hatch Shell.
After hosting the 2010 show at the Bank Of America Pavilion, the radio station decided to make last yearís concert free and brought the music festival to the Esplanadeís Hatch Shell as a way to return to the concertís roots and thank listeners.
MIXFest originally began as a free music event on Boston Common 19 years ago.
This yearís show is sponsored by Dunkiní Donuts, Boston Childrenís Hospital, Boston.com, Fuze Beverages, Regina Pizzeria, Darque Tan, Oliviaís Organics, Polar Beverages, ZipCar, 9-89 on Demand Beverages, Simply Naked Wine, The Princeton Review, The Colonnade Hotel, The Revere Hotel, and Premiere Limo.
