The popular bakery and café Flour is set to bring its sweets and sandwiches to the Back Bay, possibly by the end of this year.

Joanne Chang, the owner of Flour, took to Twitter to announce that a fourth Flour location is in the works for the former Hard Rock Café space on Clarendon Street.

“Finally ready to sign lease for Flour4! We hope to open by end of year in Back Bay at 131 Clarendon (former Hard Rock). SO EXCITED. GULP,” her Tweet posted Thursday read.

The blog Boston Restaurant Talk first reported the news.

Chang already has Flour locations in Boston’s South End and Fort Point neighborhoods and Cambridge’s Central Square.

Chang also co-owns Myers + Chang in the South End with her husband Christopher Myers.
