The Cambridge hospital announced Thursday Christopher Robinson, MD, of the Back Bay, has been appointed chief of ophthalmology.
Robinson has been at the hospitalís New England Eye Center since 2008 and has been serving as its director. He also had a Medical Retina Fellowship at the Tufts-New England Eye Center and currently serves as an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Robinson graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine where he was a Howard Hughes Medical Student Fellow and Stanford Medical Scholar. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine in 2007.
