The Beacon Hill Civic Association is looking to honor residents and groups that regularly contribute to the community.

The association has asked the neighborhood to nominate candidates for the 16th annual Beacon Award that recognizes “significant and sustained contribution to the Beacon Hill community.”

Those contributions could include working with children or the elderly, beautifying the neighorhood, or improving safety.

Nomination forms can be found online or nominators can call the association at 617-227-1922 and must be completed and returned to the association by Wednesday, April 25.

Gael Mahony, the first president of the Beacon Hill Civic Association and neighborhood resident for the past 55 years, won the Beacon Award last year.

A committee of association members and members of the community will select a winner who be named at the Beacon Hill Civic Association’s 90th Annual Meeting scheduled for May 21 at the Union Club.
