The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will put the spotlight on some of its musicians at an upcoming concert at the Charles River Esplanade’s Hatch Shell.

The orchestra will perform a free concert at the Hatch Shell August 22 featuring its own members as soloists.

The show, a new annual tradition for the Orchestra, will include performances of Robert Schumann’s Konzertstück, Joseph Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Italian symphony.

Konzerstück, which the Orchestra describes as “a one-of-a-kind virtuosic thrill-ride for four solo horns and orchestra” will feature Kevin Owen, Richard Menaul, Whitacre Hill, and Lee Wadenpfuhl on horns.

The soloists for Sinfonia Concertante are Gregory Vitale on violin, Andrew Price on oboe, Jolene Kessler on cello, and Donald Bravo on bassoon.

The outdoor concert will run from 7 to 9 p.m. It will be moved to the Emmanuel Church at 15 Newbury St. in the case of rain.
