The long-shuttered Deluca’s Market on Charles Street has partially reopened.

The historic market that was gutted by an electrical fire in July 2010 opened its wine cellar for business after a long process of repairs and renovation.

The basement wine cellar reopened in September and now operates from noon to 8 p.m. and offers wine tastings.

The partial reopening comes after a two-year process of starts and stops for the market as its owner Virgil Aiello worked to repair and expand the shop while facing concerns about the plans--including some about trash disposal and expanding into residential space--from the community and neighborhood association.
