Villa Mexico Café is no longer serving up Mexican fare in a gas station, but it does plan to pop up with some dishes in Somerville this week.

The former Beacon Hill restaurant is hosting a pop-up Wednesday at Daddy Jones Bar in Somerville where it will serve a four-course meal for guests starting at 6:30 p.m. with a second seating at 8:30 p.m.

It’s the restaurant’s first pop-up since closing in January. The popular take-out eatery had operated inside Grampy’s gas station at the corner of Cambridge and Grove streets, but the station is being demolished to make way for an office building.

Owner Julie King said the pop-up is a way to keep the Villa Mexico going while she works on future plans for the business.
