Now that water scarcity has become a trending issue, the town of Belmont has launched a water conservation program. The town sells inexpensive rain barrels ($69) that enable backyard gardeners to take use water from down spouts to replace the town's water. Beyond the green altruism, residents saves a few bucks on their water bills.
