Belmont looking for volunteers for town boards

The town of Belmont is seeking citizens to serve as volunteers on 13 different boards and committees in town.

There are open positions on the Planning Board, the Council on Aging, the Historic District Commission, the Belmont Energy Committee, the Belmont Vision Implementation Committee, the Cultural Council, the Human Rights Commission, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, the Municipal Light Advisory Committee, the Shade Tree Committee, the Recreation Commission and the Property and Insurance Advisory Committee.

Anyone who is interested should send a letter of interest plus a resume or volunteer interest form to the Board of Selectmen at 455 Concord Ave, Belmont MA. You can also email selectmen@belmont-ma.gov. For more information call 617-993-2610 or go here.

The deadline for applications is July 31 at noon. The Board of Selectmen will make final decision on who to appoint, according to Belmont Town Hall.
