Belmont Savings Bank pledges to donate $10,000 prize money to charity if residents vote for them in contest
The Belmont Savings Bank pledged Monday to donate $10,000 to local charities if Belmont residents can help it win a national contest.
The bank is competing in the Boston Business Journal Social Madness competition, and is in position to become eligible for a $10,000 prize, according to a press release. It’s looking for local groups to help the Bank win by voting in the Boston championship matchup.
The Bank needs about 5,000 voters to advance to win the Boston matchup and advance to the national round, where it becomes eligible for the $10,000 prize.
The national competition will launch on July 24 and will conclude on Sept. 11. The three final winners will have a charitable donation made in their name.
