Beverly Main Streets announces Downtown Banner Design Competition
The following is a press release from Beverly Main Streets:
Beverly Main Streets (BMS) is conducting a design competition for their downtown light pole banners. BMS is calling on artists and designers (or teams) to submit designs for the summer and winter season banners. This is a great opportunity for designers to showcase their talent as the banners will be seen by thousands of people each day. BMS is looking for artsy, forward-thinking designs that will enhance the streetscape and highlight the vibrant culture of downtown Beverly.
BMS uses light pole banners to unify the downtown. Existing banners are displayed along major routes and the gateways to the downtown district. Banners build pride for residents, promote the downtown area and warmly welcome visitors. Banners help to attract more visitors which translates into more community and business revenue. Sponsor tags on the banners allow for advertising for local businesses. BMS is currently taking sponsorship orders.
The complete “Call to Artists” is available on the BMS website at www.beverlymainstreets.org. An honorarium of $125.00 or a free banner will be awarded to the artists of the two winning banner designs. Design submissions must be received by Thursday, March 1, 2012.
For more information, please contact Gin Wallace at 978-922-8558 or visit www.beverlymainstreets.org.
